Senator Ned Nwoko Receives “Face of Sports Tourism Africa” from African Tourism Board and Other Partners

Flamboyant Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North at the Nigeria National Assembly has accepted to receive the “Face of Sports Tourism Africa” from the African Tourism Board in collaboration with Project Fly With Us and FCT Tourism Volunteers Network in recognition of his contributions to Sports and Tourism in Nigeria and Africa at large.

During a short presentation of letter of the award held yesterday at the Senator’s residence in Abuja, he expressed his acceptance of the recognition and expressed his appreciation to the team, saying that sports, tourism and education are the major areas where his passion lies and he would do everything within his power to support the sectors.

The initiator of the award, Global Ambassador of the African Tourism Board and CEO of Project Fly With Us, Peace Onuiri informed the gathering that, the award came in the face of the achievements that has been seen in the area of sports and tourism by the Senator, one of such is the establishment of the first Sports University in Africa among other things.

Senator Prince Ned Nwoko has always been an advocate of tourism. He has always talked about the abundant economic gains that reside there in, and the vast opportunities in the areas of culture and tourism that could turn around the fortunes of our people thus stimulating growth and economic development.
In recognition of his tremendous advocacy for culture, tourism and sports as key factors in our national development, the African Tourism Board in conjunction with FCT Tourism Volunteers Network and Project Fly With Us deemed it fit to honor the Senator as the Face of Sports Tourism in Africa, this is a well deserved award to a man who has given so much to sports development and tourism”, Onuiri said.

It was declared that the main award ceremony would be held in Abidjan on the 4th of February 2023, the reason would be to support the Super Eagles at the ongoing AFCON 2023 in Abidjan.

Project Fly With Us has also concluded all arrangements to take sports enthusiasts to Abidjan as a logistics company for the award ceremony and also to support the Super Eagles.
