MASA 2024 in Abidjan will Focus on Young People – DG MASA

The Director General of Marche de Arts du Spectacle D’Abidjan (MASA) Kamate Abdramane has said that the 2024 edition which will take place from 13th – 20th April in Abidjan would focus on the young people in the musical industry of Africa.

He made this known to Kazeem Balogun, CEO, Kalo Africa Media during an interview at the 10th Visa For Music Festival in Rabat, Morocco recently.

MASA is the biggest market for African music, for arts and culture. We have been having this event since 30 years, it is also the oldest in our continent.

The uniqueness we want create this next is to focus on our young people, we want to show to the world that there is no culture without the young people.

In essence, what you will see at the next edition of MASA in Abidjan is an event that is organised with young people for the young people and the young at heart”, Abdramane said.

When asked about the expected number of participants at the event, he said music enthusiasts, artists, promoters, producers and general stakeholders would participate from the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, Middle East and importantly Africa which would always be reason for MASA to be the biggest and most patronized musical event on the continent.

Earlier on, he had a media interaction with his team where many information about MASA were given and some light entertainment by the young artists at their exhibition stand on the sideline of Visa For Music, Rabat.
