Alain St.Ange Moves to Support Tourism in Africa at ITB Berlin

SEYCHELLES

The 2023 ITB Tourism Trade Fair in Berlin is set to see Africa’s move to consolidate its tourism industry through African tourism personalities. News emanating from the Seychelles confirmed that Alain St.Ange, the former Seychelles Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Ports and Marine will be delivering a keynote address targeted at promoting the continent at ITB Berlin.

Alain St.Ange has confirmed that he will be flying to Berlin and will be present at the event to address a tourism industry conference and also to be met by different tourism Ministers from the continent.

The former tourism Minister of Seychelles who now heads his own Saint Ange Tourism Consultancy Organisation has also confirmed that he will be addressing a global topic – “New Initiatives for World Tourism” at the City Cube during ITB 2023.

“In analyzing new initiatives for world tourism, I intend to touch on destination preparedness, the cleanliness of the countries and safety and security which are essential ingredients for success. Also, I intend to discuss the understanding in the cruise ship industry and again on how ready African destinations are for the cruise ship industry. It is a known fact that destinations or Ports where cruise ships call will always get as much out of cruise ships as they prepare themselves for this business. A city where everything is closed cannot expect its handicraft trade to benefit from the cruise ship business. Tourism can and should benefit everyone, but the country that says it has a tourism destination must want the people to benefit as they push policies and regulations for sustainable development approach placing their people in at the frontline and first to benefit” said Alain St.Ange.

The former Presidential candidate in Seychelles also said that destination Africa has everything to succeed but still at a crossroad, whereas the world tourism currently finds itself advancing in innovation, new vision and new tools at the disposal of the tourism marketing experts.

“Every tourism destination in the whole world is fishing from the same pond for the discerning travelers and visibility with a new approach is the way forward” St.Ange further said.
