ATB Felicitates Dr. Pindi Chana, Replacing Dr. Damas Ndumbaro as the new Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism,Tanzania

The African Tourism Baord has extended its felicitation to the newly appointed Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Tanzania, Dr. Pindi Chana.

The Chairman, African Tourism Board, Hon. Cuthbert Ncube congratulated and expressed the best wishes from the ATB to the new Minister, promising to improve on the existing cordial relationship between ATB and the former Minister vis-a-vis Tanzania.

“On behalf of the African Tourism Board,I hereby extend our felicitation and best wishes to Dr. Pindi Chana,the new Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism,Tanzania on the new appointment” .

“Let me assure you of our unflinching support as we have always been doing for all our tourism destinations especially with the former Minister Dr. Ndumbaro who ensured that Tanzania remains relevant on the global tourism radar”.

“We will continue to uphold and accelerate our working relationship with Tanzania through Hon. Pindi Chana and we are very optimistic that it would blossom into another progressive mileage for Tanzanaia and by extension, African tourism.

Last year, ATB participated actively in the first ever East African Community Tourism Expo where we recognized some active Ministers of Tourism as well as HE, President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her sterling role in the development of tourism in Tanzania and the East African Community”,Ncube said.

Yesterday, the Director of Presidential Communications released a statement in which a mini cabinet reshuffle saw Dr. Pindi Chana moved from the Minister of States, Prime Minister’s Office ( Parliament, Policy and Coordination) to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism while Dr.Damas Mdumbaro was redeployed to the Constitution and Legal Affairs docket.

African Tourism Board has been very upbeat about the progressive moves in Tanzania which encouraged ATB Chairman Hon.Ncube and his entourage paying several working visits to Tanzania, the recent being Zanzibar where they met various government officials including the former Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Leila Mohammed Mussa through whom several tourism understanding were arrived at.

Just like other Member States in Africa,Tanzania as a destination needs all the vlsibilities and it is expected and assured that ATB will be in a continuous partnership to support the country.
